The design of tools in the pre-series phase aims to faithfully reproduce the conditions of mass production. These tools, which are often specialised, facilitate assembly, guarantee repeatability and ensure the safety of manual or semi-automated operations. The operating procedures are defined in parallel with the pre-series run to describe each assembly stage. It includes times, resources, stations and associated controls.
