As everyone knows, some bikes have a hard life. This is the case with self-service bikes, for which robustness is a significant issue. A good example of this is the recent release of Double Pony V2 (from pony, a French brand for bike-sharing), which our partners at Antidote Solutions worked on.
Another area for improvement is the repairability of parts and components. For the first version of the Double Pony, Milc refurbished 700 wheels for electric cargo bike fleets.
For this order, we used our BikeBotix wheel-building machine. At Milc, this work is carried out by Julie Maucourt, who is responsible for assembly and logistics.
This after-sales service forms part of a circular economy approach that is meaningful for both Milc and pony.
